This is like a weird passive thing like implying you were baited out and “taken taken for a walk” as the dog. This usually gets primed to make the stimuli more noticeable when every time you go somewhere there are ‘round 12 dog walkers following you. They'll have like different dogs to like be personified to imply things. There's messaging behind it sometimes. Like if you knew people who had certain dog breeds they might have a doppelganger walk that type of dog. You’re better off just ignoring that aspect. I'm just glad those poor dogs are finally getting walked. I can’t imagine these type of folks treat their animals very well.

Another thing you can do is ask them to pet their dog. Ask her if she knows how to leave it? Then tell them firmly to LEAVE IT.
